Message	I don't think it is worth the unknown amount of time and money to get the original drivetrain going again. Consider selling the chassis as a rolling shell, someone will snatch it up if in good condition, definitely no need to crush it. It sounds like you already have another Z anyways, so better to cut your losses on the project and focus your efforts on that.
